R-Tools R-Drive Image 7.0 Build 7010

R-Tools R-Drive Image 7.0 Build 7010 is a great tool for creating disk image files and backing up data. A disk image file that contains an exact “byte for byte” copy of a hard drive, partition, or logical drive can be created without restarting the computer and with varying degrees of data compression. The created disc image can be stored on a variety of media types, including removable media such as CD-R(W)/DVD, Iomega Zip, and Jazz discs.

R-Drive Image Technicians restore disk images to original disks, to other partitions, or to free unformatted disk space without rebooting the system. To recover a locked system or partition, R-Drive Image switches to pseudographic mode directly from Windows or starts a bootable version of the program from a CD or set of floppy disks.

Using R-Drive Image, you can quickly and fully recover your system after total data loss caused by system crash, virus attack or computer hardware failure. You can also use R-Drive Image Engineer for bulk system cloning if you need to install one pre-configured system on multiple identical computers.

In other words, you can manually configure one system, build an image of it, then deploy that image to other, identical computers, saving time and money. If only a few files need to be recovered, the disk image can be attached as a virtual disk; data from it, e.g. straight from the disk image, easy to copy using Windows Explorer or other file utilities.

Main Features:

  • Simple and convenient user interface – no in-depth knowledge of computer management is required.
  • On-the-fly operation: Disk images are created without the need to stop and restart the Windows operating system. During the imaging process and until its completion, all other write operations are cached. Image recovery is also done “on the fly” with the exception of the system partition. When recovering the system partition, it is necessary to reload the program into pseudo-graphical mode directly from Windows or using a previously created boot disk (CD/DVD or floppy disk).
  • Compressing image files. Image files can be compressed to save disk space.
  • Support for removable media devices. Image files can be saved to removable media devices such as CD-R(W)/DVD, Iomega Zip, and Jazz discs.
  • Support for Microsoft networks. The bootable version of the CD/DVD R-Drive Image supports storing disk images on remote computers and restoring them from remote computers to local computers on Microsoft networks (CIFS protocol).
  • Pseudographic mode. Reboot into pseudo-graphical mode, to restore to system or other locked partitions done directly from Windows. No need to use a bootable CD/DVD.
  • Expanded list of supported devices. A large list of computer hardware components supported by the program.
  • USB 2.0 is supported in pseudo-graphics mode. While the cost of hard drives and removable drives is steadily decreasing, USB 2.0 removable drives (flash drives) can be the most optimal and reliable solution for backing up the system and other partitions in portable computers. No more need for unreliable CD/DVD and slow CD/DVD burners.
  • Boot version. A special boot disk (two floppy disks or one CD/DVD) is created to restore to the system partition.
  • Recovery of individual files and folders. Disk images can be mounted as read-only virtual disks and their contents can be viewed and copied.
  • Separation of image files. Disc image files may be split into multiple files if there is not enough space to store them on one medium.
  • Disc image protection. Image files can be password protected and contain additional comments.
  • File system conversion. The file system of the recovered disk can be converted (eg FAT16 to FAT32 and vice versa).
  • Creation of new sections. Disk image data can be restored to free disk space. Recovered partition size can be changed.
  • Partition replacement. Disk image data can be restored to any existing partition. the program can delete existing partitions and restore disk images to free space.
  • Copying Disc to Disc. Entire disks can be copied to other disks of the same or greater capacity.
  • Checking created drawings. Disc image files can be checked for correct creation before being saved and/or restored.
  • Timetable. The task of creating a disk image can be installed and executed at a certain time in automatic mode.
  • Scripting for frequent and automated actions. The program’s interface allows you to create scripts to automatically create image files and add data to existing disc image files. Scripts are executed from the command line, and such lines can be included in any batch file.
  • Operation completion notification. the program automatically creates and sends e-mail notifications, and can also launch external utilities when the disk image is successfully created or the image creation operation is not complete
  • Support for Windows Vista and 64-bit processors. The new version of R-Drive Image supports all Windows Vista operating systems and 64-bit processors.
  • Acceleration of disk imaging and copy operations. Added asynchronous I/O, the zlib distributed compression library, and other features. As a result, image creation and disc copy operations are improved by up to 200 percent.
  • Differential image creation mode. In differential mode, when backing up the disk, it compares the current data with the 128-bit cache of the original data without reading the master image. After all, it speeds up the image creation process, but there’s also no need to change the source disc when burning the image to CD/DVD.
  • Additional image creation mode. A new incremental image creation mode has been added.
  • The boot module can be written to a CD / DVD disk along with the image. It became possible to use bootable CD / DVD disks for system recovery.
  • Support for backing up volumes using Shadow Copy Service (Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service). When taking snapshots, real-time database, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL Oracle, etc. Be notified before copying starts. This technology allows you to synchronize server databases and create correct copies of changing data on the fly.
  • Support for Dynamic Disks and BSD slices. Allows you to back up dynamic disks and BSD components, store them, and restore them.
  • This property is supported both in Windows and in the bootable CD version of the R-Drive Image. You can create images of any type of disk or partition and then restore the image back to a dynamic or regular disk. However, when recovering such an image, it is not possible to change the size or other properties of the disk from which the image is recovered. When a dynamic disk image is restored to a normal disk, the normal disk cannot be converted to dynamic.
  • Flexible write control to CD/DVD. Allows you to limit write speed and cache ISO files.
  • Improved disk image file format.
  • Write to NTFS partition. The CD/DVD version of R-Drive Image (developed on the Linux kernel) supports writing to NTFS partitions in the same way as the Windows version of R-Drive Image.
